BASH.zone changing ownership

Recommended Posts

My interest has changed also. Not enough goes on with forums, I tend to post a lot now to stories that allow comments on BBC News site. Loads of replies coming all the time, making it far better than using any forums.

@Sheldon have you replaced the time that you used to spend on forums with other media?

I hate Facebook and don’t understand why people use Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Not really.

I browse Twitter.  My time mostly ate up by work, work, and usually more work.

I do play COD still, but also do youth sports and such. My evenings are usually shot.

I have a lot of idle time at work where I have to wait for other people to do their jobs before I can do mine, it gives me time for the Internet most days.

The only real time I have for the Internet at home is on the weekend when I’m drinking my coffee in the morning.

It looks like AWS wants Bash.  I doubt anyone will visit after he takes over.

My guess... he'll most likely import some topics from the site, to another site he owns and then close Bash

That is what he tends to do

Why? What has he posted about it?

Dave said he was just going to close the forum down because no one wanted to take over running it, then AWS said he would. I guess they're talking about it through PM's now.

I'll still be doing my normal stop by.

I like being able to drop a one line comment and not get shit for not posting each and every day.

I do that here. Read... Anything I feel I want to comment on, I do. You don't yell and moan if I don't post every single day.

Gary, that's the general outtake for any forum.

Everyone screams about needing posts, activity, etc.

Yeah, I know what you mean. You only have to visit places like XenForo and see the same old thing going on. People trying to advertise their new forums started. Just pointless these days.

Looks like Bash is being moved to a new server.

I remember when Dave first started Bash, it was The Vice Zone first and it was for Tool whom I haven’t seen around in ages.

Thought you already knew that AWS was taking over it. Make your mind up.

I just posted that it was actually happening.

The server can't be reached now.

It's using some Free DNS service now for it's named servers by the looks of things - https://dns.he.net/

Who ever took it over also renewed the domain for another year yesterday

But SneakyDave has not took the server down it was hosted on. He runs a second site on the same host  http://solidmean.com/

Looks like he didn't want to run Bash any more.

No surprise there. He already told us that.

I wouldn't know, as I cannot read BASH shoutbox to know anything he's says.

It's literally posted at the first post in this thread from Paul.

Yes, I know his name was being thrown around as taking over it. But until it actually happened...

No, I'm done now with running a forum, or any kind of sites. I post on other sites like BBC News, active sites with replies to join in.

Noticed Mark post on BBC News as well. 😀
